Mologan the Boggart and the Green Lobster

In this exciting children's adventure story written by local writer and artist Mazda Munn a cave dwelling Boggart called Mologan meets three children. Fin, Beth and Robbie are on holiday on the remote Scottish island of Shuma where Mologan has lived a solitary and contented life for the past 147 years.

A Boggart!

They are catapulted into a series of hair-raising and hilarious adventures in the strange nocturnal world of the Boggarts. They encounter many extraordinary and scary characters including an ancient sea witch called Aggie Hagg Boggart, a monstrous flesh eating Boggart called Roary Borealis and a rather bad-tempered green lobster called Horace.

Interaction with human children after his long isolation encourages Mologan to question his ancient profession of 'Bogling' and a new Boggart Eco Warrior emerges.

Following her successful Children's workshops at the Edinburgh Book Festival Mazda Munn will be introducing Mologan the Boggart at the Smillie Centre during the summer holidays. These fun children's workshops include illustrated readings, art and craft activities and games on a Boggarty theme suitable for children aged 7 to 11.
